Andaman PWD will announce exam date for this Assistant (Arch. Dept.) recruitment soon. Assistant (Arch. Dept.) selection process involves Written Examination and Document/ Certificate Verification. Written Examination comprises questions from the subjects of Concerned Technical subject for the respective post, General Intelligence & reasoning and General awareness. Exam will be conducted for 100 questions, 100 marks and a time duration of 2 hours.

Written Exam Syllabus:-
- General Intelligence & Reasoning – Verbal and Non-verbal type. The test will include questions on analogies, similarities and difference, space visualization, problem solving analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non- verbal series etc.
- General Awareness – General awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test the knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person and elementary knowledge of computers. The test will also include questions related to India and its neighboring Countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic, Science, General Politic and Scientific research etc.
- Assistant (Arch. Dept.) – Architectural Design, Building Construction, Building Materials and Sciences, Architectural Drawing and Graphics, History of Architecture, Workshop Practice, Landscape Design, Structural Mechanics and Theory of Structures, Surveying and Leveling, Building Service & Equipments, Humanities, Estimating and Costing, Principles of Human Settlements, Architectural design, planning and thesis, Building Construction, Materials and specifications, Building Sciences & Services, Town Planning (Theory), Professional Practice, Building Bye- Law, Advance Structure, etc.
