BSF has announced 281 vacancies for the Posts of Sub Inspector, Head Constable and Constable. BSF Water Wing will announce exam date for this recruitment soon. BSF Water Wing Group B & C posts selection process consists of two phases (Phase-1 and Phase-2). In Phase-1, Written Examination will be conducted. In Phase-2, Documentation, Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test, Trade Test and Medical Examination will be conducted. Written Examination comprises questions from the subject General Knowledge & Awareness, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability and Trade Awareness.

- Schedule Tribes/ Adivasis – Height: 160 Cms – Chest: 73 Cms (Unexpanded) & 78 Cms (Expanded).
- Person belongs to Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Leh & Ladakh & North Eastern States, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Pondicherry, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu & Andaman, Nicobar Islands & Dogras – Height: 162.5 Cms – Chest: 75 Cms (Unexpanded) & 80 Cms (Expanded).
- Person belong to other states and union territories – Height: 165 Cms – Chest: 75 Cms (Unexpanded) & 80 Cms (Expanded).
Physical Efficiency Test:-
- 1 Mile race in 8 Minutes.
- High Jump – 3 Feet 06 Inches (3 Attempts)
- Long Jump – 11 Feet (03 Attempts)
Trade Test:-
- Trade test will be conducted to test knowledge and experience of candidates.
Medical Examination:-
- Candidates who completes trade test will attend the medical examination.
- Medical Standard for Eye Sight.
- Visual Acuity Unaided (Near Vision)
- Better Eye – N6
- Worse Eye – N9
- Uncorrected Visual Acuity (Distant Vision)
- Better Eye – 6/6
